China's contingent raises flag at Asian Games village

With the start of the 2018 Asian Games fast approaching, the officials from the Chinese delegation arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday. They raised the Chinese flag to signal the start of the country's campaign at the athletes' village on Thursday morning.
With a strong contingent of 845 athletes, including 19 Olympic champions, China will participate in 38 of the 40 events at the upcoming 2018 Asian Games. Zhu Ting, Sun Yang, and Lin Dan are among the big names, who will be competing for China, although many of them haven't arrived yet.
The Chinese teams for each event will arrive in Indonesia separately based on their respective schedules.
The 18th Asian Games will officially start on Saturday. Taekwondo athlete Zhao Shuai will carry the flag for China at the opening ceremony.
