The Taxson guard post sits 4,900 meters above sea level in Kamba county in Tibet autonomous region in China. It is the highest and the most inhospitable guard post in China - no form of life exists within many kilometers of the outpost. The border soldiers there are devoted to protecting the country despite the constant danger from the harsh, high altitude conditions. Their situation is just like the famous saying: "Some lands will eventually become your hometown."
