Who will be the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series champion this season? Will it be the American League champion Boston Red Sox or the National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers?

Schedule

The championship series of the MLB's 2018 season, the 114th World Series, will be played between the two teams at the best-of-seven finals from October 23 to 31 with two days off in-between.
The previous two-day matches kicked off on Tuesday at Boston's 106-year-old Fenway Park. Then from October 26-28, the Series will shift to the 56-year-old Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The last two games will be back to the Boston home runs.

Powerhouse combat

Both are historically significant and have teams loaded with talent.
The two sides have met just once in the World Series in 1916 when the Dodgers were a New York franchise, known as the Brooklyn Dodgers.
This year, the Boston Red Sox had the best 108-54 win/loss record in baseball's history, while the LA Dodgers are looking for their first title in 30 years.
In 2017, Dodgers won their fifth straight National League West championship and advanced to the National League Championship Series for the second year in a row and the third time in five seasons.

Pitching match-ups

In Game One each team has set a left-handed player for the opening. They are 29-year-old Chris Sale, No. 41 of Boston Red Sox, and 30-year-old Clayton Kershaw, No.22 of LA Dodgers.
Sales is a seven-time consecutive MLB All-Star  from 2012-2018 and a two-time American League leader in strikeouts. After reaching 300 strikeouts in 2017, Sale was honored as the American League Sporting News Starting Pitcher of the Year.
Since he debuted as the strikeout pitcher in 2008, Kershaw has won the National League Cy Young Awards three times, which Sale has yet won. Kershaw was also awarded the National League Most Valuable Player in 2014 as the first pitcher in 46 years.
The Game Two on October 24 features another pair of left-handers: Dodgers' Ryu Hyun-Jin and Red Sox's David Price.
Rye, 31, has played seven seasons with Hanwha Eagles at Korea Base Organization League before he joined Dodgers in 2013. He was the first South Korean to serve as the starting pitcher of an MLB postseason game -- an elimination tournament held after the conclusion of MLB regular season games.
David Price, 33, became a full-time starting pitcher in 2009 and was named the American League starter for the 2010 All-Star Game. He won his first Cy Young Award in 2012. He was signed by Red Sox in 2016 with a seven-year deal worth 217 million US dollars.
Dodgers will start rookie right-hander Walker Buehler in Game Three, then veteran left-hander Rich Hill in Game Four.
So far, Red Sox starters for the Game Three and Four are still uncertain.
The two teams will unveil more selects on the pitch and the Series winner will be the last big guess in the season.
