Asian naval soldiers speak in the language of music

A music concert was held on Monday in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, to welcome international guests coming to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy.
Navy musicians from a number of Asian countries performed on stage.

The Thai band played their traditional instrument "ranat," sending out a tropical vibe among the spectators.
Soldiers from Vietnam played a well-known piece representing China-Vietnam friendship.
A Bangladeshi navy singer performed Chinese-language song "The Moon Represents My Heart", which was well received by the audience, while the Indian band added a pop note by singing Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk."
Tuesday will be the big day, when vessels from multiple countries will parade together in the Yellow Sea.
The PLA Navy has also prepared one of the largest parades to showcase its history and development.
