China stands firm to support Mozambique's development, especially its industrialization and agricultural modernization, Chinese President Xi Jinping said while meeting with his Mozambican counterpart Filipe Nyusi at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Saturday.
The Chinese president encouraged the two countries to promote cooperation in fields such as key projects, innovation, education and culture exchanges.
China supports Mozambique to play a greater role in international and regional affairs, Xi said.
He also said that China firmly supports Mozambique's development path, which suits its national conditions.
Mozambique is willing to learn from the Chinese experience in the construction of the ruling party and the governance of a nation, Nyusi said.
Under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Nyusi believes that the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will vigorously promote mutually beneficial cooperation and common development between China and African countries.
