Over 1,100 runners participated in the 2019 China Jingpo Lake International Ice Race. The ice run was the first of its kind in China and consisted of the half marathon and the five-kilometer run. Participants had to overcome the difficulty of running on ice while enduring the cold. Apart from the race, the Jingpo Lake scenic area also held a number of events and performances.
