December 3 is World Disability Day themed "Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality." The Asia and Pacific region is home to nearly 700 million people with disabilities, many of whom are excluded from leading a fulfilling and productive life. However, major efforts are now being made to improve their quality of life.
