China's Lijiang Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area received 4.32 million tourists in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 15 percent, making it the most visited scenic area in southwest China's Yunnan Province.
Among the attractions the scenic area offers are sightseeing, folk tourism, eco-tourism, recreation, and scientific adventure tourism.

In recent years, it has won more than 80 honors, including being named a national tourism standardization demonstration area and a famous national brand creation demonstration area.
The scenic area was recently named as a model in the nationwide efforts for targeted poverty alleviation through tourism and innovation by the China Tourist Attractions Association.

As Yunnan's most popular scenic spot, it is also known as China's best ice and snow cultural tourism scenic spot and the country's most popular tourist destination in 2018.
The scenic area's management plans to continue to upgrade its infrastructure in 2019, with further efforts in the construction of smart tourist facilities, as well as improving the supply and value chain.
