Liu Dongsheng, deputy head of the ministry, spoke about the new stamp.
"All the reporters I met, domestic or foreign, were asking me about the 'China green' phenomenon," Liu said.
As China entered the Two Sessions political season, reporters from Chinese and international news outlets are curious about how China will further protect the environment.
"This stamp signifies the government's ambition to make the environment event better," Liu told a press conference.

The administration also published data about China's green progress in 2018. Seven million hectares of forest were planted, while 6.7 million hectares of desert areas were transformed into grassland.
Tree-planting has become a tradition in China, with people from all walks of life contributing to the effort.
Core leaders of the Party and the government planted trees in April 2018 in Beijing, setting an example for local officials to follow through the year.
The smartphone-loving Chinese people also have a way to contribute. Ant Financial created a mobile game that's free for everyone to play, in which players can plant real trees in Inner Mongolia.
The efforts are producing good results as NASA claimed that China and India are two major countries making the Earth greener.
