China's 31st naval escort fleet set sail for humanitarian missions in the Gulf of Aden and the coast of Somalia from Zhanjiang City, south China's Guangdong Province on Sunday. Since China's participation in the international effort in 2008, the PLA Navy has deployed 31 fleets, around 100 ships, and 26,000 troops on Somali waters.
