Three astronauts from the International Space Station safely returned to Earth on Sunday. The three-member Expedition 55 crew headed back to Earth in a Soyuz MS-07 spacecraft and safely landed in Kazakhstan. Earlier in the day, the members bid farewell to the space station. Their return marks the completion of a mission that spanned 168 days, which included 2,688 orbits of the Earth and a journey of 71.2 million miles, according to NASA.
