Wu Ashun led the China Open golf event on home soil in Shenzhen where amateur Kuang Yang at 14 years old became the youngest at the Chinese golf event on Friday.
The 2015 China Open champion shot a seven-under 65 to snatch his leading position on the second day of the match, which started on May 2.

The four-day men's golf tournament was held annually in China since 1995 under the organization of China Golf Association. It became one of the European Tour events since 2003. Thus, Kuang also became the second youngest player at 14 years plus 194 days to advance into the European Tour event, a month older than compatriot Guan Tianlang, who famously made the cut during the 2013 Masters.
"A moment to cherish forever! Kuang Yang drains his putt on the last to make the cut," The European Tour twitted on Friday.

Kuang, the promising domestic star who just finished his midterm exams at school, has inspired many to chase the golf heat.
"There are not enough words to describe the feeling," said Kuang, who included his headteacher in the list of people he wanted to thank for giving him the opportunity to make history at Genzon Golf Club.
The headteacher led a team of students to show strong support to Kuang at the club and encouraged more students to gain lifelong benefits from engaging in sports.
