The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB), scheduled to open to traffic on Wednesday, is the world’s longest cross-sea bridge involving the longest immersed tunnel, which was described by the Guardian as one of the "seven wonders in the modern world".
Lin Ming, chief engineer and general manager for the islands and tunnel project of the HZMB, has led his team in overcoming various difficulties and greatest challenges over the past nine years. "The value of a bridge is to bear the weight, and the value of a person is to shoulder responsibility,” he said.
Take a look at his story of constructing the bridge.
