China, Armenia agree to inject new impetus into regional cooperation

As bilateral relations are now keeping a momentum of sound and steady growth, China is willing to work together with Armenia to stimulate the joint building of the Belt and Road in order to inject new impetus into regional development cooperation, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday.
President Xi made the remarks while meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Beijing.
China is committed to tapping into new areas of cooperation with Armenia, promoting the development and bringing more benefits in fields of trade investment, mineral exploitation, metal smelting, renewable energy, and infrastructure construction.
For his part, Pashinyan said Armenia views its relations with China from a strategic perspective and will continue to advance international cooperation in the Belt and Road Initiative.
