Pedestrians were electrocuted and drowned after wading through floodwaters in contact with exposed electrical wires after a severe rainstorm hit south China’s Guangdong Province in June. Some were injured and rescued by authorities. Multiple regions in the province had issued red torrential rain alerts due to the tropical storm Ewiniar.
