A herd of argali, mountain sheep, was recently caught on camera on the Pamirs Plateau in Bulunkou Township, Akto County in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Argali is a rare mountain sheep species that can climb steep hills. It is listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List and is under second-class state protection in China.
