The total merchandise export for November 2018 in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) amounted to 1.02 billion patacas (about 12.66 million U.S. dollars), up by 1.8 percent year-on-year, the SAR's statistics bureau said on Monday.
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) also indicated that the value of re-exports increased by 6.8 percent to 899 million patacas, with that of beauty, cosmetic and skin-care products surging notably by 526.1 percent.
Meanwhile, the total merchandise import rose 6.7 percent year-on-year to 8.06 billion patacas. The merchandise trade deficit in November amounted to 7.04 billion patacas.
From January to November 2018, total value of merchandise export increased 7.4 percent year-on-year to 11.15 billion patacas. The total value of merchandise import went up 21.1 percent year-on-year to 82.21 billion patacas.
The merchandise trade deficit widened to 71.06 billion for the first eleven months of 2018.
External merchandise trade totaled 93.36 billion patacas from January to November 2018, up 19.3 percent compared with that of a year ago. (1 U.S. dollar equals to 8.06 patacas)
