A vivacious South China tiger cub was born recently in central China's Luoyang City and has left its incubator and met zoo goers for the first time this week. Indigenous to China, South China tigers used to live all across the country. However, its wild population has been in sharp decline since the 1950s due to the loss of habitat. Currently, there are over 100 South China tigers in zoos or breeding bases.
