China's Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong outlined Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's official visit to Singapore on Thursday.
At the invitation of Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Li will visit Singapore from November 12 to 16 and attend the 21st China-ASEAN leaders' meeting, 21st ASEAN-China, Japan and South Korea leaders' meeting and 13th East Asia Summit.
Visit to Singapore
China and Singapore have established all-round cooperative partnership with the times, and have carried out fruitful cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Chen briefed.
The premier's visit is aimed at further enhancing China-Singapore traditional friendship, deepening bilateral cooperation and promoting greater development of bilateral relations in the new era, Chen noted.
ASEAN meetings
Li's attendance to series of ASEAN meetings will elaborate on China's policy proposals for East Asian cooperation, propose more than 30 new initiatives to deepen pragmatic cooperation under various mechanisms, promote the upgrading of China-ASEAN cooperation and push East Asia cooperation to a new height, he added.
On the 21st China-ASEAN leaders' meeting, Chen pointed out that China is looking forward to publish the "China-ASEAN Strategic Partnership Vision 2030" to plan the future development of China-ASEAN relations.
China is willing to work with ASEAN members to promote and deepen the synergy between the BRI and actively support the building of ASEAN smart city network construction.
As the co-chair of 21st ASEAN-China, Japan and South Korea leaders' meeting this year, China is expected to work together with all parties to promote the in-depth development of cooperation and play a greater role in regional economic integration, said Chen.
On 13th East Asia Summit, the minister said China hopes the summit will adhere to the balanced development of economics and look forward to all parties to enhance mutual trust and build consensus on East Asia.
