A tornado has hit north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, killing five people and injuring another 58. The tornado hit the city of Chifeng's.

 

Hexigten Banner and Ongniud Banner on Friday afternoon . The injured have been sent to hospitals, and over one-thousand local residents were evacuated to four nearby schools. Makeshift shelters, food, drinking water and other necessities are being sent to the affected people. The tornado also caused massive blackouts in over three thousand households. Authorities are trying to provide temporary electricity and rescue work is ongoing.
