Typhoon Maria made landfall in Lianjiang County in China’s eastern Fujian Province at about 9:10 a.m. BJT on Wednesday, with maximum winds of 42 meters per second, according to local meteorological authorities.
The neighboring provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangxi are also starting to feel the effects of Maria.
