The Seventh Ministerial Conference of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) will be held in Beijing on Sunday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying announced on Wednesday.
Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Commerce Minister Zhong Shan will co-chair the meeting with South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Lindiwe Sisulu and Minister for Trade and Industry Rob Davies. South Africa co-chairs the Forum.
Ministers or representatives in charge of foreign affairs and international economic cooperation from the other 53 African member states of the FOCAC will attend the conference.
The conference is to prepare for the Beijing Summit of the 2018 FOCAC to be held from Monday to Tuesday. The conference will assess the implementation of the outcome of the 2015 Johannesburg Summit and deliberate and pass the draft agenda to be submitted to the Beijing Summit and the draft outcome document.
