1 / 4 A heartwarming bond has developed between a rescued calf and an Australian shepherd at a sanctuary farm in Ontario, Canada. Lincoln, a nine-year-old Australian shepherd, takes his brotherly duties very seriously, and seems to feel overprotective of Calvin, his six-month-old little brother, even though he is a calf. /VCG Photo
2 / 4 The two furry buddies became inseparable after Calvin was saved from a dairy farm half a year ago, where calves are usually shipped off to be killed for meat because they can’t produce milk. /VCG Photo
3 / 4 After moving to the Black Goat Farm and Sanctuary, Calvin and Lincoln immediately took to each other. Lincoln took Calvin under his wing, and helped watch over him while he was running around and exploring the sanctuary. /VCG Photo
4 / 4 Their relationship has warmed the Internet, as the two animals spend their days playing, cuddling and taking naps together, according to Megan Mostacci, the farm’s co-founder. “They formed a bond right away and became best buddies. They’re very gentle with each other, it’s so sweet,” Mostacci said. /VCG Photo
