The closing meeting of the second session of the 13th National People's Congress, China's top legislature, was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and other leaders are attending the closing meeting.

Li Zhanshu, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, addressed the meeting.

The task of national rejuvenation is the key turning point, stressed Li.

During the meeting, legislators adopted China's first unified foreign investment law, demonstrating the country's resolve to pursue a new stage of high-level opening-up.

They adopted the draft resolutions on the government work report, and the work reports of the 13th NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

In addition, lawmakers also passed the draft resolutions on the reports of the national economic and social development plan as well as the central and local budgets.
