After burning for about 12 hours, a forest fire in a village in Dali City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, was brought under control at about 3:45 a.m. on Sunday. Some 1,500 rescue workers and two helicopters were deployed at the scene. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
