Fan Bingbing on Wednesday apologized on Chinese social media platform Weibo for evading taxes, hours after Chinese taxation authorities announced the results of an investigation into the actress. Fan has been asked to pay more than 800 million yuan in back taxes and fines for dishonest tax reporting, but will not face criminal liability if she pays the penalty on time.
