A partial solar eclipse happened on January 6, 2019. In Beijing, it began the moment the Sun rose from the horizon. The eclipse was midway at about 8:30 a.m. and ended at 9:41 a.m. The photo shows the edges of craters and mountains on the Moon as it blocked the Sun. The photos were taken by Dr. Yang Yuguang, a professor at the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and vice chair of the IAF (International Astronautical Federation) Space Transportation Committee.
