The Siberian Tiger Park in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has recently seen a reproductive boom. The park is expected to see new-born Siberian tiger cubs up to 150 this year. The species is highly endangered, with fewer than 1,000 in the wild worldwide. China has been trying to save the species through captive breeding programs. The number of tigers at the Heilongjiang park has grown from just a few to more than 1,000.
