China's 35th Antarctic research expedition team finished on Friday the first phase of an operation to deliver supplies to Chinese research stations in Antarctica by unloading supplies to Zhongshan Station. In the first phase of the operation that lasted two weeks, a total of 1,605 tons of supplies were transported from China's research icebreaker Xuelong to Zhongshan Station and its inland departure base. Xuelong set off for the next destination on Saturday to fulfill the second phase of the operation.
