To commemorate Europe Day as well as this year being the EU-China Tourism Year, 32 iconic sites in 18 Chinese cities have lit up in the blue of the EU flag. As part of the celebration, Wuhan, the capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, has also seen its famous Yellow Crane Tower turn blue. During the Chinese Lantern Festival this year, more than 50 landmarks across 18 European countries also lit up in red – the color of China’s flag – to build a symbolic bridge of light to China.
