A 514kg Kaluga sturgeon was in Heilongjiang River near the city of Fuyuan, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. The giant fish is 3.59 meters long, nearly 100 years old. It was caught by a fisherman at the Fuyuan section of the Heilongjiang River at about 01:00 p.m. Thousands of local residents flocked there to catch a glimpse of the giant creature. The female fish has been purchased is now kept in a pool by a local bureau of aquatic products for artificial propagation and releasing.
