Gassam, lives in a hostel for immigrants, will also be made a French citizen and offered a job position by the Paris fire brigade, the office of the French Presidency said.
The rescue, happened less than 30 seconds, was captured on video and went viral on social media. Gassama then was named hero and dubbed as Spiderman.
In the video, neighbors at the adjoining balcony tried to reach the boy. Meanwhile, Gassama climbed up to the fourth floor from the outside wall of the building in only a few seconds.

The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, phoned Gassama personally to “thank him warmly.”
“I told him that his heroic act is an example to all citizens and that the city of Paris will obviously be very keen to support him in his efforts to settle in France,” she wrote it on her Twitter later on.
The father of the child has been taken into the custody. According to the judicial sources, he was shopping when the incident occurred.
“With Mr. Gassama who saved the life of a child on Saturday by climbing 4 floors with bare hands. I told him that in recognition of this heroic act he was going to be regularized as soon as possible, and that the Paris Fire Brigade was ready to welcome him. I also invited him to apply for naturalization. Because France is a will, and Mr. Gassama demonstrated with commitment that he had it!” Macron said it in his Facebook after meeting with this 22 years old Spiderman.
Gassama was given a golden medal and a certificate for his act of courage and dedication during his visit to Macron, according to CNN.
“I am pleased because it is the first time I have received a trophy like that," said Gassama after receiving his medal.
