The flag-conferring ceremony for the new national fire and rescue team took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), conferred the flag to the new national fire and rescue team and extended warm congratulations to all fire and rescue crews on behalf of the CPC Central Committee.
