Enrollment in the first Disney Inspiration Run in Shanghai starts today. The inaugural resort-wide race is set for September 15-16 and features races of 3.5 kilometers, 5K and 10K for participants.
Running in Disney resorts have long been popular around the world. The world's first Disney road race was held in Orlando in 1994. Since then, the event has attracted enthusiastic an response from all over the world and has been successfully held for many years in Disney resort destinations in the United States, France, Paris and China, including Hong Kong.

The Shanghai run will go through the iconic attractions of the Shanghai Disney resort, including Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown and areas around Wishing Star Lake. According to the official website, beloved Disney Characters might also make surprise appearances along the way.
The participants of the 3.5km run must be over 5 years old, and all children aged between 5 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants in the 5K must be over 16 years old as do those who run the 10K.

In order to create a Disney-style but professional inspiration run, Disney resort is collaborating with Shanghai Int’l Marathon, a professional and experienced outfit.
The first 50 enrolled in the 5K and 10K run will get direct access to the jogging run and 10K run of 2018 Shanghai Int’l marathon.
Mickey Mouse will be on the 10K run medal, Donald Duck and Pluto will be on medals of the 5K and 3.5K.
