The "Rite of Spring" is the second contemporary dance by China’s iconic choreographer and dancer, Yang Liping. It's a brand new adaption of Russian composer Igor Stravinsky's renowned ballet and orchestral concert work from 1913. Yang's utilizes her knowledge of Chinese culture for her version, especially the Tibetan concepts of nature and life. Besides for traditional Tibetan and modern forms of dance, Yang also included her signature peacock dance moves in the choreography.
