China expects "positive outcomes" from negotiations with the U.S. at the upcoming G20 Summit in Argentina, China's Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday, when asked about what China expects from the two heads of state's trade talks at the summit.
Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump are due to hold trade talks on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires this weekend.
China hopes that "China and the U.S. can meet halfway so that positive outcomes may arise from the two countries' leaders meeting at G20," the Commerce Ministry spokesperson said.
