The World Economic Forum in China, the so-called Summer Davos, is tech focused and new ideas driven. Members of the tech-savvy guest list for the upcoming conference in Tianjin, are showing their confidence in the Chinese economy.
Global Shapers, members of a future leadership program by the World Economic Forum (WEF), are advocates for new growth opportunities, startups, innovation and social impact. Qian Feng, director of Bei Yang Chuang Xiang Design Studio and also a WEF Global Shaper, shared his vision for a better future.
"The development of the fourth industrial revolution is exponential rather than linear, changing the world systemically. I would like to know more about the policy direction and explanation for the artificial intelligence industry in China," Qian said.
Meanwhile, many investors continue to bet their hopes on China for extra growth momentum. Tianjin, as a neighbor of Beijing, draws the attention of international investors looking to deal with Chinese enterprises.
"For global investors, Tianjin has a lot of opportunities... The investors care more about potential for coming growth. Tianjin is also a manufacturing center in China. You can get a lot of resources in Tianjin," said Henry Zhang, Tianjin Hub founding curator, noting that the city offers strong support for startups.
