The 2018 Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) will hold a "Belt and Road Week" to enhance cooperation in film among countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Organizers of about 30 film festivals in these countries are expected to form a coalition, which will include the Cairo International Film Festival, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, and the Malaysia International Film Festival, according to a press release from the SIFF organizer earlier this week.
Under the coalition, the film festivals plan to share information, recommend films, invite filmmakers and start joint projects, the statement said.
