A Puyuma Express train with 376 passengers on board derailed at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday. At least 18 people were killed and 187 others injured. It was the seventh such derailment in Taiwan since 2016, and the second involving a Puyuma train in the past year. An investigation into the deadly accident is underway.
