As England entered the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup by beating Sweden 2-0 at the Samara Arena on Saturday, Swedish star football player Zlatan Ibrahimović knows that he lost the bet with England’s former star player David Beckham and posted on Instagram: “Im coming, congrats”.
Before the World Cup started, Beckham predicted that England will meet Argentina in the Final. When Sweden made it into the round of eight and met England, Ibrahimović said his country would beat England before he and Beckham made the bet.

Ibrahimović offers that if England wins, he will buy Beckham a dinner at any place he chooses; and if Sweden wins, Beckham will need to take Ibrahimović to IKEA and buy whatever he wants. In response, Beckham said yes to the part of “if Sweden wins” but changed the other part to ask Ibrahimović to wear a football jersey of England, watch a football match at the Wembley Stadium in London and buy fish and chips during the half time.
After the 2-0 match on Saturday, Beckham posted on Instagram a picture in which Ibrahimović was wearing the jersey of England with the words “looks like someone is coming to Wembley again”.

Ibrahimović said he will keep his word while writing on Twitter to praise Sweden’s players for their performances in Russia. “Every player should get a Golden Ball in Sweden. What they did will be remembered forever. Thank you for the show.”
Ex-England captain Wayne Rooney who has joined DC United and is expected to compete with Ibrahimović who played for Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer (MLS) also made fun of his former teammate-he and Ibrahimović have both played for Manchester United-by tweeting “How you feeling today mate? If you need a chat I'm always here.”
