Downpours have caused landslides since May and, recently, a boulder smashed through the front window of a bus, killing the driver, Zhao Jianguo. Six other people on the bus were injured. When it boulder hit the bus, Zhao was crushed underneath it with his hands on the steering wheel and his feet pressing the brakes. His final act stopped the bus from plummeting into the river below and saved the lives of 37 passengers.
