British Prime Minister Theresa May faces the prospect of defeat in a historic parliamentary vote on her Brexit deal, which is due to take place on January 15. 

The prospective defeat would likely leave her country in limbo about its membership of the world's biggest trading bloc. 

May urged lawmakers on Monday to take a second look at her deal but parliament appears set to reject the agreement at the upcoming voting session.
