The Republic of Korea (ROK) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on October 1 began removing landmines in parts of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating them, in line with a recent agreement to reduce tensions and prevent accidental clashes, Yonhap reported, citing ROK's defense ministry.
