Zhang Aokai shines in international youth tournament

Chinese teenage football sensation Zhang Aokai has showcased his prowess for his club RCD Espanyol youth team in Zurich, Switzerland.
Playing for the Spanish side at the 80th Blue Stars FIFA Youth Cup, 18-year-old Zhang, who joined the youth team last year, helped his side to a 2-0 victory against West Ham United and finish fifth in the two-day tournament, which drew ten men's sides and eight women's teams.
This was RCD Espanyol's first appearance in the international youth football event. Zhang was in the starting line-up for three times during the event, and has scored his first international goal in the game against Koln to help the team win it 3-1.
He has also scored his first and only goal and one assist in this event to help his team notch up a 2-2 win-loss record. Often being dubbed as a future star, Zhang received the team leader armband of Guangzhou Evergrand in 2016 to become the youngest captain of all time.
