A 6.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Taiwan's Hualien County around 13:01 BJT on Thursday, according to China Earthquake Networks Center. Footage showed overturned furniture in homes and offices and at least one landslide along the mountainous and lightly populated eastern coast. The island's Central Weather Bureau said the quake happened at one minute after 1 p.m. local time (0500 GMT). There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
