At least four people are killed and13 others injured by a steel bar that fell at a construction site in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, southwest China's Sichuan Province, local authorities said on Thursday evening.

The incident happened around 4:17 p.m. local time on Thursday, local authorities said. 

The injured people have been sent to the hospital immediately after the incident happened.  The investigation is currently underway.
