“Wood and Rock,” a 1,000-year-old scroll painting by Chinese painter Su Shi, fetched 60 million U.S. dollars in an auction in south China's Hong Kong SAR on November 26, 2018. Amid ongoing debate over its authenticity, auction house Christie's confirmed that the painting is an original. Su Shi, also known as Su Dongpo, was a famous poet, painter, calligrapher and statesman of the Song Dynasty.
