On November 28, the premiere of the documentaries co-produced by China and Argentina, “Glamorous Argentina” and “Glamorous China,” was held at the dome hall of the Kirchner Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, the main venue for the G20 summit.
The two-episode, 120-minute "Glamorous China" is shot from the perspective of Argentinians. It not only records the rapid development and prosperity of Chinese cities but also shows the colorful natural scenery of southwest China.
Meanwhile, "Glamorous Argentina," the four-part documentary stretching 100 minutes, paints a different Argentina from the Chinese perspective.
Argentine Radio and Television began broadcasting the documentaries in primetime on November 29.
The premiere was attended by government officials and heads of television stations from both countries.

Miguel Pereira, president of Argentine Radio and Television, led a film crew to China to shoot the documentary this year.
"Glamorous China" is filmed by an Argentinian crew in four locations chosen by the director. In addition to the political center of Beijing and the economic center of Shanghai, they also chose Hangzhou, the remarkable city where the G20 was held in 2016, and Guizhou Province, which has a strong relationship with Argentina.
The co-production of “Glamorous Argentina” and “Glamorous China” marks a beginning in the media cooperation between the two countries. In the presence of guests, Shen Haixiong and Miguel Pereira signed a cooperation agreement between the two national television stations.
Carlos, an Argentine painter, also a character in "Glamorous Argentina," sent a painting by him to Shen Haixiong. Meanwhile, Shen presented China's largest TV creation of full-4K aerial filming-- "Aerial China" to Herman Lombardi, secretary of state for public media of Argentina.

This is the first time that China and Argentina have joined hands in a co-production, and the documentaries are expected to help people from both countries better understand each other's heritage.
As the main venue of the G20 summit, the Kirchner Cultural Center, once an abandoned structure built in the late 20th century, has become the fourth largest cultural center in the world. All facilities in the center are open to the public for free.
