LeBron James tops NBA 2K19 ratings of current players

Ratings of all first-squad players of the current 30 teams in NBA 2K19, an annual video game produced by 2K Sports, were released on Wednesday with LeBron James again topping the list with 98, according to 2kratings.com.

Though he is almost 34 years old, defeated by the Golden State Warriors twice in a row and has just joined a new team, James still has the best ratings among all current players. It was also the ninth consecutive time for him at the top of the ratings since NBA 2K11.

Kevin Durant who took two FMVPs in a row came second with 97. MVP of the 2017-18 regular season James Harden ranked third with 96. Stephen Curry is given the rating of 95 which puts him at the fourth.

Three players share a rating of 94: The "Greek freak" Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks, Kawhi Leonard who was sent to the Toronto Raptors this summer and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Two point guards, Kyrie Irving from the Boston Celtics and Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunders, are both rated 93. Karl-Anthony Towns, the promising young center from the Minnesota Timberwolves follows with 91.

The Warriors are the only team with three players that have ratings over 90. Curry and Durant aside, DeMarcus Cousins, who signed a one-year contract worth 5.3 million US dollars with Golden State, is rated 90. As Klay Thomson and Draymond Green are rated respectively 89 and 87, the average rating for the defending champion's first squad is a terrifying 91.6.

The Houston Rockets are the other team with more than one 90-rated player. In addition to Harden's 96, Chris Paul has a rating of 90. By contrast, Carmelo Anthony who finally joined the team after four years was rated only 79.

Boston ranks second on the average rating list with 87.6. Irving's 93 aside, Gordan Hayward who has come back from injury has got a rating of 88. Two young overall-third-pick young men Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown are rated respectively 87 and 84. Al Horford is 86.

NBA 2K19 is scheduled to release the standard edition on September 11 and the 20th anniversary edition on September 7.
