Dominican Republic president: China is the benchmark for openness

"Trade is and must be seen as a win-win opportunity," President of the Dominican Republic Danilo Medina commended the country's newly-established diplomatic relations with China and the China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Monday.
Medina made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the CIIE in China's financial hub Shanghai.
The president praised China's role as a benchmark for open exchange, cooperation and connectivity among nations.
He said the CIIE is not only a platform for foreign investors to know products and services demanded by the Chinese market, but also to promote commercial exchange and greater understanding among countries.
He stressed trade must be a win-win opportunity and participating in the CIIE is the best example of globalization.
